Alex Athanassoulas

Alex is the President and CEO of STIRIXIS Group, the globally awarded Design Consultancy firm with over 800 projects completed, in 29 countries. He holds a Masters in Civil Engineering (MCivEng) from Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki Greece, and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with distinction from the Adam Smith Business School of Glasgow University. He is certified in Project Management from both IPMA and PRINCE2, certified in Board Management and Directorship Development from School of Leadership Practice of CEO Clubs, certified in Strategy and Innovation from the International Customer Service Association (ICSA), and an eminent public speaker.

Alex is a founding member of both the Greek and the Romanian Chapter of CEO Clubs International, currently a member of the Board and VP of Member Engagement of CEO Clubs Greece.  He is the President of the Sustainable Building Council of Greece, the Greek chapter of the World Green Building Council, the President of the Hellenic Alumni Association of University of Glasgow, and the Secretary General of the Board of the Greek Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Technology, and an accessor and mentor for EGG Greece. Alex is recognized internationally for his thought leadership, including awards such as the Best European CEO in Retail Development from European CEO Awards in 2015, as the Best European CEO in 2018 from AI Global Excellence Awards, and as International Game-changer from ACQ5 Awards in 2019.
